What education and training do a music therapist possess?
To become a music therapist, you must possess the following:
- Earned a bachelor’s degree or higher in music therapy
- Coursework is a unique blend of music and psychology.
- Completed a minimum of 1200 supervised clinical hours.
- Successfully passed the National Board Examination
- Earn the title Board-certified Music Therapist (MT-BC)
